INNATE Postpartum Care

Planning for the Fourth Trimester Course
The fourth trimester is not simply a recovery period—it is a sacred season of becoming. This tender time invites parents to slow down, receive support, and nurture themselves as they nurture their baby. In these early weeks, babies borrow the calm of the adults who care for them through a process called co-regulation. Every cuddle, gentle voice, feeding, and comforting response helps build your baby's developing nervous system, laying the groundwork for secure attachment, emotional well-being, and healthy brain development. When parents are supported with rest, nourishment, and compassion, they are better able to offer the steady presence their baby needs most.
The weeks after birth are one of the biggest transitions in life, yet many families spend months preparing for labor and very little time preparing for postpartum recovery.
This course helps you create a personalized postpartum plan so you can focus on healing, bonding with your baby, and asking for the support you deserve.

Before becoming a postpartum educator, I spent years as a classroom teacher, where I witnessed firsthand how deeply a child's emotional well-being influences their ability to learn, grow, and flourish. That experience taught me a profound truth: the adults we become shape the children we raise. Our children inherit not only our genes, but also our patterns of connection, our ways of responding to stress, and our capacity to love, repair, and regulate. This understanding is at the heart of INNATE Postpartum Care. By supporting parents during the tender transition into parenthood, we have the opportunity to nurture healthier families from the very beginning. Investing in yourself during the fourth trimester is not a luxury—it is an investment in the well-being of your child and the generations to come.
