INNATE Postpartum Practitioner
As a postpartum practitioner, I hold gentle, grounded space for the sacred transition into parenthood, supporting the mother-baby dyad with deep presence and attunement. I offer nurturing care through energetic holding, intentional energetic movement, and thoughtfully prepared meals that allow new mothers to rest, regulate, and feel truly supported. Just as importantly, I help cultivate community for new parents-- creating connection, reassurance, and a sense of not having to do this tender season alone. By tending to the mother in this way, we directly support the baby's nervous system development, attachment security, and long-term emotional resilience, because a regulated mother is the foundation for a thriving child.

Melissa Persons, Ed.D.
Welcome. I'm Melissa, INNATE Postpartum Practitioner. I help expecting and new parents prepare for the realities of postpartum so they can recover with confidence, reduce overwhelm, and build a strong foundation for their growing family.
Before dedicating my work to supporting families through the fourth trimester, I spent years as an educator, where I learned that the well-being of children begins with the well-being of the adults who care for them. That belief has shaped every step of my journey. Today, I help expectant and new parents prepare for the profound transition into parenthood with practical education, compassionate guidance, and evidence-informed care. I believe the postpartum period deserves as much intention and preparation as pregnancy and birth, and that every family deserves to be supported through this transformative season.
My work is rooted in a simple but powerful truth: our children inherit more than our genes—they inherit the relationships, emotional patterns, and sense of safety we cultivate every day. When parents are nourished, supported, and equipped to care for themselves, they are better able to offer the calm, connected presence that helps their babies thrive. My mission is to empower families to embrace the fourth trimester with confidence, tenderness, and trust in their innate capacity to nurture. By investing in yourself, you are also investing in your child, your family, and the generations that follow.
